Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp is a Canadian actress who has been praised for her leading roles in a variety of television shows and also for her powerful performance in films. The actress is popular on Canadian and American television. When Emily was 12, she began to become attracted to acting when she visited her elder sister Katie on the set of one of her film. When she realized her love in acting, she began taking acting classes, and then going for auditions. She began with some commercials however, she was eventually cast as a child actor in the Canadian TV horror series Are You Scared of Darkness? She was only seen in only one scene and without dialogue. She got her first big break at 15 when she was cast as a regular in Glory Days, a WB show Glory Days. Emily's acting talent attracted the attention of Greg Berlanti when the series was cancelled after only nine episodes. He cast Emily as a character on Everwood, his new TV show. Emily was also an artist and ballerina, was recognized by Teen magazine as one the best actresses younger than 20. The Maxim's Hot 100 2014 list ranked Emily at 51.
